We are Texas Pit Crew. We are committed to helping improve the lives of animals in need. Whether it means educating a dog owner, providing food and shelter, arranging veterinary care, or working to find a new home. Our Street Team, Fosters, Event Team and other volunteers all work together to give dogs a chance to enjoy the love they deserve.
We are an all-volunteer, foster based rescue organization. We do not have a public shelter facility, so most of our meet-and-greets are by appointment or at adoption events. Our Facebook page will always list our current and upcoming events. Of course, we will always try to be as flexible as possible when scheduling meet-and-greets.
Texas Pit Crew is only able to have dogs available for adoption because of fosters. We do not have a facility where the dogs can stay, all of our dogs stay with foster families who care for them until a forever home is found. Fostering is a great experience for the foster family and the dog who would otherwise have nowhere to go.
This month, we are highlighting the importance of spaying and neutering your pets. Every month, hundreds of animals are handled by local animal services and shelters in Wichita County. Unfortunately, many of these will be euthanized. Preventing unwanted and unplanned litters will reduce the number of animals who are euthanized in our community.
